Austral. liverworts and hornworts, http://www.anbg.gov.au/abrs/liverwortlist/liverworts_a_z.html]. However, the taxon is listed in that work as Plagiochilion conjugatum (Hook.) R.M.Schust., recorded as occurring only in Tasmania.
